Welcome to Life Skills of Trumbull County!  We are here to help you earn your high school diploma.

Life Skills is located on Franklin Street behind Taco Bell.  There's plenty of parking in front of the center. Nearly 800 young people have earned their high school diploma at our Life Skills.  Our graduates are employed by Trumbull Metropolitan Housing Authority's YouthBuild Program, Belmont Confections, Panera Bread Company, etc.  Others serve in various branches of the U.S. Armed Forces.

About Life Skills of Trumbull County:

  • Students attend class five days a week – one session per day.
  • Instruction is primarily computer-based.
  • Qualified teachers act as facilitators to help guide the students' learning.  Students may earn elective credit for this work.
  • All students have the same graduation requirements as public school students.
  • Once enrolled, students will be assisted in finding a job or an opportunity to provide community service.
  • Every student receives an individual academic and career plan, which serves as his/her academic and life skills guide.
  • Tuition is free, just as in a traditional public school.
  • Upon graduation, the student earns an actual state-recognized high school diploma – not a GED – and valuable job experience.

The staff and students at our center have participated in many community events:

  • Warren's Relay for Life
  • Warren's Make a Difference Day
  • Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Pasta for Pennies
  • Red Cross Blood Drives
  • "Support Our Troops" program that enabled staff, students, and community members to donate various items to our troops currently serving in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan

In some cases, parents are not even aware of the fact that their child has a disability and are also unaware of services that are available to assist them. Life Skills Center of Trumbull County is interested in meeting the needs of all children, including those with disabilities. If you know of a child who may have disabilities, please contact the Administrator  at 330-392-0231 for more information.
