Welcome to LifeSkills of Middletown! We are here to help you earn your high school diploma.
LifeSkills is located in Middletown Shopping Center, behind Burger King and Blockbuster. If you drive to school, you can park in the shopping center parking lot, or you can use the Middletown City Transit System. Students who live within Middletown city limits can ride Middletown City School buses. We can help you figure out what's best for you.
Nearly 600 students have earned their high school diploma at Middletown LifeSkills. They've gone on to work in facilities that care for the elderly, manufacturing companies, healthcare and more. These graduates came in without a high school diploma and did the work that needed to be done. Now, they have a diploma and a job!
About LifeSkills of Middletown:
- Students attend class five days a week – one four-hour session per day.
- Sessions are held at up to four different times.
- Instruction is primarily computer-based.
- Qualified teachers act as facilitators to help guide the students' learning.
- All students have the same graduation requirements as public school students.
- Once enrolled, students will be assisted in finding a job or or an opportunity to provide community service.
- Every student receives an individual academic and career plan which serves as his/her academic and life skills guide.
- Tuition is free, just as in a traditional public school.
- Upon graduation, the student earns an actual state-recognized high school diploma – not a GED – and valuable job experience.
