Welcome to LifeSkills of Leon! We're here to help you earn your high school diploma.
We are located directly behind the Greyhound bus station and across the street from the Main Leon Fire Station. The Star Metro bus terminal is located across the street providing easy access to public transportation. If you choose to drive to school, parking is available on the lower level of the parking deck located behind the center. Visitors are welcomed to park on the upper level of the parking deck.
More than 100 students have graduated from LifeSkills of Leon with their high school diploma so far! Many of our students are employed in the top industries in demand in our community. These companies include professional and goverment services, food and beverage services, amusement and recreational services, and health and medical services.
About LifeSkills of Leon:
- Students attend classes five days a week - one session per day.
- Instruction is primarily computer-based.
- Qualified teachers act as facilitators to help guide the students' learning.
- All students have the same graduation requirements as public school students.
- Once enrolled, students will be assisted in finding a job or or an opportunity to provide community service.
- Every student receives an individual academic and career plan, which serves as his/her academic and life skills guide.
- Tuition is free, just as in a traditional public school.
- Upon graduation, the student earns an actual state-recognized high school diploma - not a GED - and valuable job experience.
