Welcome to LifeSkills of Denver! We are here to help you earn your high school diploma.
We're located near the 16th Street Mall, Brown Palace Hotel, Sunken Gardens Park, and Cherry Creek Bike Path in downtown Denver. Our school is served by RTD with routes near the school. Street parking is limited.
More than 200 students have earned their high school diploma at LifeSkills of Denver. We work closely with Aramark Employment, which services Coors Field - Home of the Colorado Rockies and Invesco Field at Mile High - Home of the Denver Broncos, where several of our students are employed. Through our Career Readiness Class, students are given the skills and support in job searching, applying for and acquiring employment.
Every staff member has been able to make a connection with students and show our students that we are truly a different type of school and that we support the entire student - socially, emotionally, and educationally.
About LifeSkills of Denver:
- Students attend class five days a week – one session per day.
- Instruction is primarily computer-based.
- Qualified teachers act as facilitators to help guide the students' learning.
- All students have the same graduation requirements as public school students.
- Once enrolled, students will be assisted in finding a job or an opportunity to provide community service.
- Every student receives an individual academic and career plan, which serves as his/her academic and life skills guide.
- Tuition is free, just as in a traditional public school.
- Upon graduation, the student earns an actual state-recognized high school diploma – not a GED – and valuable job experience.
