Welcome to LifeSkills of Colorado Springs! We are here to help students ages 16-21 earn a high school diploma.
We are located at the intersection of Union and Eastlake Blvds., near the south end of Prospect Lake by Memorial Park. Transportation is not a problem - the city bus 1 and 2 arrives right by the school! There is also plenty of parking right on the campus.
More than 270 students have graduated from LifeSkills of Colorado Springs! These students have gone on to work at many different businesses including Abilities, Inc., Safeway, Luce Research, Pikes Peak Community College, the US Armed Forces, and the Colorado Springs Fire Department. Some are in management positions at The Dollar Store and KFC.
Here are some success stories from recent graduates:
Kris G. graduated from our LifeSkills and enlisted in the US Army. After successfully completing a tour in Iraq, he left the military service and trained to become a fire fighter with the Colorado Springs Fire Department. He was so happy with his success that he introduced his fiancee and a friend to LifeSkills. Kris currently serves our community at Fire Station #1.
Luis Y. joined LifeSkills of Colorado Springs because the flexible schedule allowed him to complete his high school diploma while training for the US Olympic Boxing Team. After graduating from LifeSkills, Luis competed in the Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
LifeSkills of Colorado Springs partners with a local non-profit organization call Special Kids, Special Families. This organization provides support to families that have children with developmental disabilities by recycling aluminum cans.
LifeSkills of Colorado Springs has a diverse and caring staff. At each graduation, students recognize and thank staff members that have reached out to help them in their academic, personal, and professional lives. From Ms. Althea, our Enrollment Specialist, to Mr. Wendell, our security guard, all LifeSkills staff members form special connections to our students!
